Welcome to Seeking Joy!
Let me backtrack and explain why and how this all got started.
2 Corinthians 12:9 reads, "But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest upon me."
With that verse in mind, these blogs are being written in an attempt to boast of my weaknesses so that Christ would be glorified. My hope is that His name, His grace, hope, joy, and love would find a way deep into your heart. I want you to know more about Jesus through my words and my life.
I’ve learned a lot during my first year in the working world. However, one thing that has been emphasized in more ways than I can explain is that nothing fills me more than sharing and talking about the joy of Jesus with people. That led me to morning coffee meet-ups with three incredible women who have lives that point to Jesus. Those morning conversations about life and the successes and trials that have come with it led me here. I published the platform because I believe when we share our experiences, good or bad, it breaks down walls and lets authenticity and vulnerability in. And vulnerability is powerful in community.
My hope in sharing my life and what I've been learning is to point you to Jesus. We have access to a God that is unwavering, a God that loves us more than we will ever know, and who is offering us a life filled with love, peace, hope, and joy. I've learned this through my life, and am still learning, but a life truly lived with Christ yields joy. I learned that seeking God produces unwavering peace, hope, love, and joy. I believe our purpose (a word I've been wrestling with lately) is to make God known. If I believe seeking God means we would find ourselves in a life where peace, hope, and joy could be consistently present before anxiety, despair, and misery... I would be selfish to not share Him with you.
Out of all of that, Seeking Joy was born. So, here's to walking through life together learning what it looks like to seek God, and seek joy!
